Pictures tell a thousand stories…

The foul winter weather meant a rather slow start to our year, but we are catching up, to say the least… Seriously busy all over southern England with a great variety of water and fish related contracts and as always a massive thank you to all involved 🙂

Kingston Mauward College

Brilliant working with a great bunch of students and their lecturer Neil Wilson as part of their wetland management course.

We picked out a site and the students carried out a detailed pre works survey of both the upstream and downstream limits, then we looked at clearing the channel, letting in light, leaving lots of LWD and creating much variation of habitat both in-stream and on the banks.

We will all be surveying the site over the coming year to hopefully see an improvement in both the flora and fauna.
