The Dairy House news letter

Firstly I have to thank our “Riverworks” team (Elliot and Eddie) for doing an outstanding job on those river beats that we manage particularly the Dorchester Fishing Club, I know they have been putting in a lot of hours there.

Secondly Andrea and Liberty (not forgetting all our family and friends),who have been working very hard long days on our new riverworks base the Dairy House, decorating, setting up the office and importantly making it our new home, along with the help and support of Elliot and Eddie sorting out the workshops and the Dairy House Annexe.

The Dairy House Fishery, a mile and a half of the River Frome in a stunning location is proving to be a great success (you only have to read the comments in the fishing hut book), we have only been open for around six weeks but already the fishing has been outstanding, beautiful beats and a great fishing hut to have lunch by, while watching rising fish in the adjacent hatch pool.

This is one of the few day ticket beats in the country where there is a genuine chance of catching a Grayling of over four pounds on the fly, and to equal this wild Brown Trout to just over three pounds have been caught and released.

To book fishing with us take a look at our exclusive chalkstream page and get in touch either by telephone or e mail, To the Fish as we say………

Watch this space as they say; we will be adding more beats to our fishing portfolio in the near future……..

The Dairy House Annexe – Very soon, (again watch this space) you will be able to come and stay with us in the annexe, our comfortable self catering accommodation, as a base for your family fishing holidays or visits to Dorset.

We are looking to offer as much fishing as possible from your accommodation.

  • Exclusive chalkstream fishing right on your doorstep, available with optional guiding or tuition.
  • Other day ticket beats available through us in the area including the famous Dorchester Fishing Club.
  • Guided Bass fishing along the stunning Jurassic coast.
  • We can even offer our visitors the use of an exclusive coarse fishery with a fishing hut.
