River Monitoring Training-Refresher

Dear John,

Further to our telephone conservation today, I am writing to confirm that there are a number of places still free on the  Riverfly Training Days to be held both  on 23rd and 24th June 2012 at the Langford Lakes Reserve on the River Wylye west of Salisbury. There is a choice of training on either of the two days and it lasts from mid-morning to mid-afternoon: attendance is free although travel costs must be borne by the individual.

A number of potential and established monitors from Wiltshire are attending these sessions which are being run through the Riverfly Partnership and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust,  but we are keen that the days should also be open to enthusiasts from Dorset, whether for initial or refresher training. As you know we, at the Dorset Wildlife Trust, are very keen to consolidate and expand River Monitoring throughout this county and only by the training of monitors can this be done.

I feel this is a fantastic opportunity and hope that we have a good representation from Dorset: I shall forward details of the training  to any interested  party,

With very best wishes
