Is there a hint of spring?…..

I had to chuckle to myself, we have always been proud of the fact that we run a very friendly successful business, sorry I digress, the reason I chuckled was simply that some one typed into google “Gin and Tonic” and that’s how they found our website…..

Is there a hint of spring?, well its all becoming a little strange, today we saw hundreds of Daffs in full flower, Friday we found a LOT of  Brown Trout spawning (they should have finished before Christmas), still paired up on Redd’s, and evidence of the odd Salmon and Sea Trout having cut new Redd’s after we had finished Reddcounting…..all a little late….and all requiring more research…

All really important information collected as we are out collecting data for feasibility studies that we are writing up for the FP&WDFA and the EA on a number of Dorsets rivers.

As always we are visiting some stunning bits of countryside, two weeks ago the Yorkshire dales, and the Ribble valley, this week all of Dorset and its stunning chalk streams, next week electric fishing exams, work on the river Avon, and packing for a fishing trip to India….

Touching on the subject of fishing in the tropics, I had a long chat with Rodney from www.fishthedream.co.uk  earlier today, he has been exploring new marks for this year, huge Amberjack, light tackle Shark flats, and a new Bonefish flat, roll on Tarpon time!

And the last mention Nick Aldridge sent me a link to the Lure Forum. http://www.thelureforum.com/
