We have actually had a fairly dry and cold week, as a result of this the Frome dropped just enough for us to get out and catch up on a few tasks.
With the kind help from Bryan and Robin (DFC) we were able to install the clubs egg box in a lovely clear spring fed stream and with no shortage of water this year the Brown Trout hatched from this box should have a high rate of survival providing added sport for coming years. www.grhe.co.uk
We were also able to do some tree thinning on one beat to improve the light levels and to encorage some more weed growth this coming spring, and further downstream we planted 500 trees to increase the cover for wildlife.
You can see lots more of what we get up to on the rivers by taking a look through our websites, our blog site (this one) www.riverworks.co.uk
