Also seriously busy with our keepering on the Frome, and various other water based contracts… Not forgetting a little voluntary work helping the River Lab gang tagging Salmon Parr today….   Love it….  Not forgetting the link to the famous

Winter lake maintenance

A great day last week with our Casterbridge Fisheries team, Elliot, Eddie and Kevin, carrying out a winter maintenance visit to a lake in Hampshire, weed cutting, an application of micro chalk and a really good tidy up ready for Christmas.

Hand pulling Bull Rushes that were beginning to take over parts of this lake, just one of the many services our fisheries team offer….

Duck weed removal

A huge thank you to Elliot, Eddie, and Tom for all their hard work on our latest Duck weed removal program…

If you have a problem with invasive aquatic weeds we can help!

Stillwater Weed Cutting

Its that time of year again, excessive weed growth on stillwaters due to all the fine weather we are having.

We are getting calls, particulary from angling clubs, because of the boom in invasives such as Fringe Lilly, canadian pond weed, Azolla…and the dreaded blanket weed.

We are able come in with our team, even at fairly short notice to deal with this early in the season problem and make your fishery fishable again.

We have to welcome our new “Riverworks” team member Eddie, Ed I have known since those Sparsholt days many years ago, he has joined us at a very busy time of year, please read his profile which you will find as you browse our site, and I am sure you will agree he will be a very valuable addition to the team….
