A winter’s tale

What a spectacular winter’s day, bitterly cold, with great light, in fact a good day for some more Redd counting.

At last a propper winter!

We headed out at first light and spent all day walking the banks of the Frome, we counted lots of Redds and saw a number of Salmon sitting on or near Redds.

We lost count of the Deer we came across, and the different species of birds in the water meadows never ceases to amaze me.

Here are a few winter pictures to sum up the day….

A text book Salmon Redd, nearly 4m long….

Look in the middle of the picture, what do you see?

The end of another day, roll on tomorrow….
