New Rod

I did treat myself to this little beauty before Christmas, it could well be my new best rod for tiny streams, we will have to wait a while to find out…..

Chalk Stream Dreams

The bit in between Christmas and the New Year always leaves you with a spare moment to reflect on the year that is so nearly over and the new year that is just around the corner, I think the fact that we have had tomorrows boat trip cancelled due to adverse weather conditions could well sum up the weather for most of the last eight months…..

Over supper and a glass or two of red, I read some of the great write ups that folks have done after their visits to our rather special piece of the Frome here at the Dairy House…. So pour a glass and have a read through and get yourselves excited about the fly fishing on offer here in Dorset for 2013……

Bookings for our Home Beat and the Dorchester Fishing Club now being taken.

You can see how much fun Chalk Stream Fishing can be here in Dorset, so come and be part of it…..

We have had a tough but exciting year, meeting a huge amount of seriously nice people, so passionate about fishing the chalk streams of southern England especially the river Frome here in Dorset.

Our heart-felt thanks go out to all those who have supported us in the last year, and the many years before.

Below is a picture of Elliot fishing one of Dorsets smaller Chalk Streams…

The Chalk Stream Club

A great social evening with lots of  Chalk Stream anglers all under one roof, read John Grindles summary on the clubs website.

Home Beat Grayling

In the slow down to Christmas, I have a friend down for a few days fishing on the Frome and decided to spend a few hours here on our “Home Beat”.

I have spent many hours watching some of the fish that visit us from time to time but today (armed with my trusty 10ft 3wt) took a very slow approach with a nymph and caught my biggest fly caught Frome Grayling, one very happy angler!!!

Cheers Craig for the pictures and for being as excited as I was….
